She spent several years teaching students from elementary to university level, both in Canada and overseas, before shifting to educational administration. Erin has also written, co-written, and edited several books.

Celeste Hambleton
Assistant Head of School

Celeste is a graduate of independent schooling and of the University of Victoria, where her Education degree focused on Remedial Methodology.  Teaching in classrooms from Kindergarten to Grade 10 has given Celeste important insights into the way students learn and develop as they progress through school.

In addition to personal travel, IB and other educational workshops and conferences have taken Celeste to Fiji, the Cook Islands, Mexico, Britain, France, and throughout the USA and Canada.  This has allowed her to expand her own understanding in many areas of educational theory and practice, as well as to connect with other educational professionals who are passionate about teaching and learning.

Celeste's husband is also a teacher at a Vancouver-area independent school, and she has two daughters who keep her very busy!  Her hobbies include staying current on educational research, reading, walking (especially on the beaches of the West Coast), and scrapbooking.

Nicole Connolly
Front Office

Nicole was born and raised in Devon, England, and moved to Canada in 1989 after working in the tourism industry in France and Spain for three years. She has had a very varied career, from working on a 76-foot schooner, to selling encyclopaedias door-to-door across Canada, to qualifying as a homeopathic practitioner. Now a resident of Maple Ridge, she loves the short commute to work plus being able to utilize her organizational, multi-tasking, and juggling skills!

Nicole is passionate about the outdoors and loves canoeing and hiking with her husband and son, photography, skiing, and anything to do with the ocean!

Olga Montesino
Front Office/Reception

Olga was born and raised in Madrid, Spain, and moved to London, England in 1997. Her passion for languages and travel was a major factor in her decision to stay in the UK for 7 years, where she worked as a Flight Attendant and met many people from all different parts of the world.

After falling in love with the city on vacation with her Canadian husband (who she met whilst living in London), Olga moved to Vancouver four years ago.  She worked for an ESL school in downtown Vancouver for three years, doing administration work and later as a Marketing Coordinator. She loves working with students of all ages and is thrilled to join Greybrook Academy at the front desk.

Olga now lives in Maple Ridge and has a beautiful little girl she adores. Her hobbies are snowboarding, hiking, swimming, and eating Spanish food!

Patricia Tochkin

Patricia was born in Ottawa but spent most of her life in Burnaby, graduating from Burnaby South High School in 1977. Coming from a military/police background, she was first a debutante, and then joined the Canadian Armed Forces – quite a switch! Patricia has been working in accounting and office administration with the trucking, construction, and lumber industries for close to thirty years. She was thrilled to be hired to work with the Greybrook Community, and says that the change to working around children is an extremely pleasant one!

Patricia has a wonderful husband and a cat she adores, Chauncy. They spend a lot of time with their large extended families, and most of their free time in Oliver – working on their property, picking fruit, and planning for their retirement home. Patricia is an accomplished classical pianist, and has many hobbies, including gardening, fishing, hiking, tennis, oil painting, cooking, crochet, designing gift baskets, and soap-making.
