Celeste
Hambleton
Assistant Head of School |
Celeste is a graduate of independent schooling and of the University of Victoria, where her Education degree focused on Remedial Methodology. Teaching in classrooms from Kindergarten to Grade 10 has given Celeste important insights into the way students learn and develop as they progress through school.
In addition to personal travel, IB and other educational workshops and conferences have taken Celeste to Fiji, the Cook Islands, Mexico, Britain, France, and throughout the USA and Canada. This has allowed her to expand her own understanding in many areas of educational theory and practice, as well as to connect with other educational professionals who are passionate about teaching and learning.
Celeste's husband is also a teacher at a Vancouver-area independent school, and she has two daughters who keep her very busy! Her hobbies include staying current on educational research, reading, walking (especially on the beaches of the West Coast), and scrapbooking.

Patricia was born in Ottawa but spent most of her life in Burnaby, graduating from Burnaby South High School in 1977. Coming from a military/police background, she was first a debutante, and then joined the Canadian Armed Forces – quite a switch! Patricia has been working in accounting and office administration with the trucking, construction, and lumber industries for close to thirty years. She was thrilled to be hired to work with the Greybrook Community, and says that the change to working around children is an extremely pleasant one!
Patricia has a wonderful husband and a cat she adores, Chauncy. They spend a lot of time with their large extended families, and most of their free time in Oliver – working on their property, picking fruit, and planning for their retirement home. Patricia is an accomplished classical pianist, and has many hobbies, including gardening, fishing, hiking, tennis, oil painting, cooking, crochet, designing gift baskets, and soap-making. |
